Genf/Keltern. Heute Vormittag ist es auch der Öffentlichkeit von Weiler bekannt gemacht worden, dass ARCHE und der IAoHRD am „Call for submissions on Psychological Torture and Ill-Treatment“ an der Ausschreibung zur Definition mit mehreren Ausarbeitungen der Fragebögen, Einreichen von Kriterien, Artikeln, Filmen und vor allem mit Beweisen von Opfern von „Weißer Folter“ teilgenommen hat.

Die Leiterin der ARCHE schlug an das Schwarze Brett das Plakat zur Information der Bevölkerung. Denn genau an diesem Ort hat sich vor 22 Jahren ein grausames Menschenrechtsverbrechen ereignet mit anschließender staatlicher Verfolgung und spitzzüngiger, bösartiger und schamloser Verleumdung des Opfers vor Ort.

„The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CIDTP), Nils Melzer, has decided to focus his next thematic report on „Psychological Torture and Ill-Treatment”. The report will be submitted to the Human Rights Council in March 2020.“, so the annoncement of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland.

„In 1948, Art. 5 of the UDHR proclaimed the first universal prohibition of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment (hereafter “torture/CIDTP”). In safeguarding the dignity and integrity of all members of the human family, without exception or discrimination of any kind and regardless of jurisdiction, territory and nationality, the absolute and non-derogable prohibition of torture/CIDTP reflects the recognition that such abuse dehumanizes not only its victims, but also its perpetrators and, ultimately, any society which tolerates such practice. Indeed, in its resolution 3452 (9 December 1975), the UN General Assembly declared any act of torture/CIDTP an offence to human dignity and “a denial of the purposes of the Charter of the United Nations” (annex, para. 2). ….
